Technical Support Officer
Full-time / Permanent
Location: Sheffield
Do you have a technical background and are looking to work for an industry-leading company?
If so, read on, as we’re looking for a Technical Support Officer to join our team!
Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will be responsible for supporting other areas of Eclipse Magnetics achieve their objectives by providing technical support on product usage and design, as well as aiding in product testing and troubleshooting. You will help ensure product technical details are correct and you will liaise with customers to help solve any of their diverse range of magnetic problems, sometimes visiting customers when necessary (with or without the sales team).
This role requires strong technical skills, so we need someone with solid technical knowledge who can confidently hold technical discussions with customers, suppliers and internally, as well as presenting data and information to customers. You will help to maintain the electronic Technical Library, learn how to use the test equipment in order to conduct required tests and devise new or improved tests, and you will carry out data analysis to understand and predict trends from test results and other information.
What are we looking for? Whatever your experience, you will be technically minded with good analytical skills and enjoy problem solving. Ideally you will have a knowledge of design of permanent magnets and electromagnet, but don’t worry if not…we can teach you! Communication is key, so you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact at all levels.
