Employee Spotlight: Jordan Elmore
At Eclipse Magnetics, our employees are at the centre of our business, and we want to shine a spotlight on the individuals who make our workplace a thriving and dynamic community.
This month, we caught up with Production Supervisor, Jordan Elmore, to find out more about his life both inside and outside of work.
When did you join Eclipse Magnetics?
I joined Eclipse Magnetics on the 2nd March 2015, just over 9 years ago, as a 17-year-old Business Admin apprentice.
I attended college briefly after leaving school but decided that I wanted to work rather than continuing full time education. That's when I decided to look into apprenticeships and found Eclipse!
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I enjoy the variation of the role - no two days are the same and this suits me.
I also enjoy the sense of achievement when orders are completed on time, especially if there have been challenges along the way.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Outside of work, I enjoy socialising with friends, spending time with my daughter and watching Sheffield United (although that isn’t so enjoyable at the moment!).
Tell us a surprising fact that not many people know about you
While there aren't many surprising things about me, my daughter could qualify to represent four countries at a chosen sport – England, America, Mexico and Colombia.
In fact, she already speaks better Spanish than I do, despite being just 2 years old!
What is your biggest career highlight so far?
The biggest career highlight for me has been the progression within the business from apprentice to Production Supervisor, which is a huge personal achievement. I have always strived to succeed and I’ve been very lucky to do so.
