Celebrating Pride and Community Spirit: Successful BBQ Fundraiser for SAYiT

In a vibrant display of community and solidarity, employees gathered for a Pride BBQ fundraiser to support SAYiT, a Sheffield-based charity dedicated to helping young people within the LGBTQ+ community. The event, filled with joy, colour and generosity, was held to raise both awareness and funds for this vital organisation.

The day was marked by a cake sale, with employees wearing rainbow colours to show their support for Pride Month. The atmosphere was one of inclusivity and celebration, with colleagues coming together to champion diversity and acceptance. A total of £328 has been raised so far, with the total continuing to increase.

A highlight of the day was the generous donation from the Spear & Jackson Group, which greatly bolstered the funds raised. Their contribution exemplifies the group’s commitment to supporting LGBTQ+ youth and ensuring they have the resources and support they need.

SAYiT has been at the forefront of providing essential services, including mental health support, educational programs and safe spaces for young LGBTQ+ individuals in Sheffield. The funds raised from the BBQ will go directly towards enhancing these services, making a meaningful difference in the lives of many.
